East Lohman Veterinary Clinic was established in 1977 by Dr. Maury Brown, in January 2013 Dr. Brown turned the reins over to Dr. Jamie Ross who is the current clinic owner. We are a small animal clinic that treats dogs, cats, and exotic patients. The mission of East Lohman Veterinary Clinic is to provide quality compassionate care including; preventative care, sick patient care, diagnostics, surgery, and routine and surgical dental care.
The staff at East Lohman Veterinary Clinic strives to be caring and compassionate and to provide the highest level of care available to our small animal patients. All of our staff members are pet owners too and understand the bond between pets and their humans. We have state of the art equipment including in-house blood machines, an ultrasound machine, a video otoscope, anesthesia monitoring equipment, digital dental radiograph, and digital x-ray. Jamie Ross, DVM
Dr. Ross is a New Mexico native. She was born in Ruidoso and spent most of her childhood in Clovis, NM. She attended Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She graduated WSU in 2008 and moved back to Las Cruces where she started practicing at East Lohman Veterinary Clinic. In 2010 she married her husband and in August of 2012 they welcomed their first daughter. Dr. Ross purchased East Lohman Veterinary Clinic from Dr. Maury Brown in January of 2013. In 2018 Dr. Ross and her husband welcomed a second daughter. Dr. Ross enjoys taking care of her wide array of pets including dogs, cats, ferrets, goats, cjoclems, ducks, and bunnies. Dr. Ross' favorite activity is spending time with her daughters. Her hobbies include paleo/low carb cooking.
Deborah Cook, DVM
Dr. Deborah cook is a native New Mexican, originally from Alamogordo, NM. She received her Bachelor's degree in Animal Science from NMSU in 1985. Dr. Cook did her graduate work at CSU in Ft. Collins CO. She graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from CSU in 1989. Dr. Cook began practicing small animal and exotic pet medicine in January 1990 right here at East Lohman Veterinary Clinic. She is married and has 2 grown children and one grandson. Dr. Cook and her husband have 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a tortoise. In her off time she enjoys quilting and going to the mountains.
Deena is a New Mexico native she graduated from NMSU with a B.S. in Animal Science in 1984. Deena has been a veterinary assistant for over 25 years. She joined East Lohman Veterinary Clinic in 2008.
Amanda has been a Veterinary Assistant for 26 years. She has her Associates degree in Nursing and Respiratory Therapy but her true passion has always been the care of animals!
Sylvia has been working at East Lohman Veterinary Clinic since 2013. She rescued her first cat in 2015 who she named Captain America. She likes to cook and discover new recipes with Chef Captain. She enjoys riding her bike by the river and playing piano for fun. She graduated NMSU with a Bachelor's of Science and Agriculture and minor in chemistry.
Kaytlyn has 5 years experience as a Veterinary Assistant. She graduated NMSU in 2018 with a Bachelor's in Agriculture in Animal Science. Her interests include sewing/crafting, fishing, and taking care of her lovely Labradoodle, Lincoln.
Shane was born and raised in Watertown, South Dakota. He attended the University of South Dakota were he studied Public Relations with a minor in Music Performance and English. He moved to Las Cruces, NM in late 2006. He has been with East Lohman Veterinary Clinic since 2017 were he began as a Veterinary Assistant. He is married and has one daughter. He enjoys spending time with his family, taking care of his dogs, cats, Koi, and pig. He also plays flute for one of Las Cruces community bands.
Merlinda grew up in Dona Ana and graduated from Mayfield High School. She
is married and has 2 daughters and 3 granddaughters. She has been with East
Lohman Veterinary Clinic since November of 2005. In her spare time she
enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and family. She also shares her
home with several cats and dogs and has a special interest in Doberman and

Jacynda likes to go by Rae. She is currently a student at NMSU studying
Family and Child Sciences. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with
her family and 3 dogs.

Nicole has been in the customer service industry for more than 15 years.
She likes to interact and meet new people. She is married and has 2
children. Nicole is a passionate animal lover.
